Frequently Asked Questions

Payments, Contracts, & Sessions

Is there a payment plan option?

Yes, you can choose a fortnightly or monthly repayment plan, that will be deducted from a nominated bank account of your choice. Prior to the first session, the minimum of a monthly payment must be made, then you may choose fortnightly. All payments must be received prior to sessions.

Yes, of course. However, this rate is a lot higher than the packages as we believe that, in order for change to happen, you need to be committed to change longer than one session. Please understand that one to three sessions may not give those results long-term and only show-short term results, depending on what you are after. We pride our work and hold high values for the results achieved, so we follow the structure of committed packages in order to get the results the clients truly want.

No, the time slots you book are maintained as we have other bookings reserved for other clients. However, if there is a cancellation after your session we can use that time to continue your session. However, that time used will be deducted from your package hours remaining.

You have up to 14 days after signing to change your mind. However, if the time falls on the day your first appointment is booked, you will be charged the full amount of our hourly rate that is current at the time. Please ask reception to give you the rate.

We give you a free 30 min consultation to clarify all your questions and make sure we are able to create those changes along the way with you. We also have the choice to say no if we don’t feel we’re able to give you the results. This is determined during the phone consultation.

You have up to 72 hours to reschedule a session without any loss of that booking.

No, you have an option to do video telehealth. This ensures we can see you in the process if we complete Hypnotherapy.

Totally! The process is no less effective than if we were in the same room together, however, it is often far more a convenient and comfortable experience for you as you can be in an environment that you are totally comfortable in, in terms of familiarity, temperature and feeling safe and relaxed.

If our call gets disconnected you may drift into sleep if you’re really relaxed, but eventually, you’ll notice that you’re not hearing my voice and open your eyes. I will reconnect and we will simply continue the process once we are both back online.

Yes.

Hypnotherapy

What does hypnosis feel like?
The experience feels different for everybody. Some people feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is.
Absolutely not. You have complete control the whole time. You can talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up and leave.

Don’t worry about how deep you go. I want you to forget all about that; it’s really not important. The depth of trance is not linked to results at all. It’s important not to get stuck on “Am I deep enough?”

You will be aware of everything that is happening and being said the whole time, however, you will be so deeply relaxed that you may find yourself drifting into different levels of awareness. Remember, your subconscious mind is active throughout and it is this that your therapist is working with.

That depends how deep in hypnosis you are, but generally, most people do remember either everything or certain parts of the experience. You will find that suggestions which have been given to you in hypnosis will resurface in your conscious, thinking mind after your hypnosis session and these will be the thoughts that produce changes in your behaviour or way of thinking and feeling.

Yes, however, this is very rare, rest assured we are qualified to help you through the process so you able to re-establish your thoughts in the current state once again. It’s our job to keep you feeling safe and we only allow you to leave the premises once we know you are okay to go on your own.

The only side effects are the beneficial ones of feeling more relaxed afterwards and feeling more positive about whatever it was you sought Hypnotherapy for. Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state.

You can – if they are related issues, however, because hypnosis requires a complete focus of attention it is far better to concentrate on one problem at a time. People wishing to stop smoking, for example, who are afraid of doing so in case they gain weight can be helped with the correct approach. This is because many of us experience “symptom substitution” – we can substitute one addiction for another. Your therapist has the skills to recognise if this is the case and deal with the issue at its core.

Hypnotherapists must belong to a professional association (e.g. AHA – The Australian Hypnotherapy Association) in order to be eligible for Professional Indemnity Insurance. Often you can check on their website to see if your Hypnotherapist is listed on their member’s page or use their contact form or telephone number to request verification.

We utilise a mix of Neo-Ericksonian and traditional Hypnotherapy in some clients that we feel need more of a direct approach. All our Hypnotherapy sessions are customised utilising the clients own resources and their experiences, we believe that this gives a more congruent result that not only lasts long term, but is understood at a richer level with each client according to their model of the world.

Other than your new changed self, we give you a copy of all Hypnotherapy recordings that are held during your sessions, this gives you the opportunity to play them when you would like, as you continue your journey.

Yes, a lot of the time we give tasks for the clients to do for themselves at home. If you want lasting changes to occur it’s your responsibility to complete the tasks that are advised for you. We give 100% to our clients and expect clients to do the same outside the sessions if they want to achieve the results they signed up for.

You may delay the time to receive the results you signed up for. We hold no liability for the lack of results you receive if you choose not to hold that responsibility to create the change. Yes, we may become more firm during sessions, and explain how important the tasking is.
We do not give tasking that you do not agree with. We make sure that you are able to complete them, and we discuss them along the way.

We may ask you to record them in a diary and send them via text message or email daily so we’re able to keep up with the progress and if you’ve missed any days.
